War Wounds..... and what kept me going...

That's a bruise!

Red spot, not sure what it is...

Yes, that is the real color of my legs... they are darker than the dirt from the first day.... Go tan!

Notice spot on big toe, small bruise. The second toe from the right has a huge blister or soar on it, and in the arch has a calous on it.

My Story

My wife (Kathy) and I became involved with the issue of human trafficking while listening to Pastor Jennifer Crow talk about a dream she had to open a center for victims in Lesotho, Africa. At this time, God placed it upon our hearts to get involved. We were not really aware of the fact that God was asking us to move to Africa until we actually started talking to some board members of The Beautiful Dream Society (BDS).

We met with two members to share out ideas and by the time the meeting was over, we had committed to moving to Africa for two years. God gave us peace over this decision before we even made it.

We are going as God has called us, not as employees of any organization, so we are raising our own funds to help us live while we are in Lesotho, Africa. Of course, we also believe that God called us to this mission, so God will place the necessary people in our path, to help us fund our way.

Yes, we are leaving our families behind. Yes, this was a hard decision to make, yet it was easy because we know that God has a plan for our lives. Our lives will be forever different, forever changed and very busy, but we are excited to be a part of this great mission.

Update: After researching and preparing to move, we were shocked to see just how prevalent human trafficking is here in the US. The hardest part of that, is that there are very few safe havens for the victims that are rescued, so there is potential for them to become victims or be outcasts when they are sent home. We plan to work on starting an organization that will not only help the people of Lesotho, but also help those becoming victims right here in our own state.
